You have done everything right. So why the quiet “is this it?”

Twelve questions, about three minutes. A mirror first, then a door. The quiz reads where you are on the path and opens the next step from there.

No right answers. Nothing to prepare.

The corner office has a window, and you keep looking out of it.

Mid thirties to mid forties. The career that landed. The mortgage that behaves. The calendar that fills itself. And a question that visits in the gap between meetings: is this the life, or a very good draft of it?

Twelve questions, whenever you are ready

You are not ungrateful. You are awake.

Wanting something different does not erase what you built. It usually means you built enough to see over the top of it. The quiz reads that view and gives it a name, which turns out to be most of the relief.

Take the three minutes

Nobody around you seems to be asking.

Peers are renovating, upgrading, consolidating. You are quietly pricing a month somewhere else and telling no one. This page exists for exactly that gap, and the quiz is where it stops being abstract.

The pull to explore never went quiet.

I’m a sales-and-marketing operator who learned digital by doing, across about ten years and half a dozen companies. I love my city. Melbourne is home. The pull to explore is real anyway, and that is the whole point.

I’ve lived and worked in Florence and Rome, and run a team from Bali and Phuket. The location-independent life is something I’ve actually done, not just written about. What I did about the pull, slowly and without burning anything down, is a longer story.

I never had been away from home, and that word ‘travel’ had a seductive charm for me.

Find where you are on the path

Twelve questions, one at a time, no right answers. It reads where you are, names it, and opens the door that fits.
